Description
This City Tour of Lima allows you to discover the essence of Peru's capital through its three major historical periods: pre-Hispanic, colonial, and modern Lima.
We begin in the modern Miraflores neighborhood, one of the city’s most popular tourist districts, with a visit to the famous Parque del Amor, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Next, we take a panoramic tour of Huaca Pucllana, an ancient pre-Inca ceremonial site that still retains its original structure. We also pass through the elegant San Isidro district, known for its Bosque del Olivar and its financial district.
We continue on to colonial Lima, touring the Historic Center, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We visit Plaza San Martín and Plaza de Armas, and admire iconic buildings such as the Government Palace, Lima Cathedral, and City Hall, as well as streets steeped in history and colonial architecture.
Finally, we entered the Convent of San Francisco, one of the most important religious complexes of the 17th century, famous for its ancient library, cloisters, and impressive underground catacombs.
